Trip to mission bay

 In Glen Taylor School the bucket drumming group is going on a trip to mission bay. We are also going to a fancy restaurant. We are going to have some fun. We are going to chill play some games and do some sports. play hide n seek or tag. We are also going to play rippa tag. It will be the best day you will ever have. Mr sok the teacher of bucket drumming said we can pick 1 teacher to come with us and we picked Mrs Fonua our teacher. Because when we get there we want to have some fun and laugh and Mrs Fonua is so good at that, so we picked her. The most important thing is that we all have each others back and that we look out for one another, and to also have fun.

Aboriginal Art

 Rm 13 has been learning about the indigenous aboriginal art and people. When you look at the art the aboriginal people are telling there story on the painting.  They use a lot of dots on there art and the only thing they used to do their art with was stone. They also believed  a rainbow snake strove across their land and turned in to sky and clouds.

Escape the classroom

 Escape the classroom

Today room 13 students did a fun activity call Escape the classroom it was an crack the code activity where we had to crack the code to escape the class room. We had to pair up with a buddy. We had to answer a question it had on the google form. We tried get the correct answer to get one answer to crack the code. There were plenty more of questions. My buddy was Morgan he is my friend he likes playing games. Me and my buddy Morgan worked as a team and figured out the answers we got all the answers correct and cracked the code. Then we had to take a screenshot of our congratulations on the google form before we submitted. Then we did another crack the code. It was a maths game. It was with shapes but each shape represented a letter. It was a word search. We had to try figure out the what shapes represented to we new what the code was. The shapes spelt something. Me and my buddy came at least 4th or 5th. We are still proud of what we done and so proud of what we have achieved.

Rm 13 making ice blocks

This is room 13 ice block writing. By Tajon

Thursday 27th February 2020

On Tuesday Rm 13 made ice blocks.The ingredients were raro glad rap lemonade fizzy drink Popsicle sticks a cup and water. There were two flavours of raro. There was a raspberry flavour and a lemonade flavour. I chose lemonade because raspberry wouldn't go great with lemonade fizzy drink. So first we poured a little bit of raro in the cup. Then we filled the cup half way with water. After that we pour some of the lemonade fizzy drink in. We grabbed glad wrap and covered the top of the cup. Then we poked the Popsicle stick in the middle of the glad wrap. We put it in the frieza then we had to wait till the next day. The next day we went to tech in the morning. After tech my cousin Metua and my friend Sifa were walking up the hill fast so we can go back to class and have our ice blocks. When we got in the class we heard someone say we are having It after school. Then I said I walked up the hill fast for nothing. But I was grateful that we had made ice blocks. Then after school my friend Sifa and this girl in my class named Savannah handed the ice blocks out. My friend Bullard told me we were going because they always drop me off home. Then I told my teacher I had to go then she yelled out to Sifa and Savannah and told them to find mine. Then they found mine then me and Bullard left. We were just outside the classroom. I looked at my ice block and it was purple. I remember I made a lemonade one. I looked at whose name it said and it was my friend Jojo's ice block so I ran back in class and told my teacher this is Jojo's ice block. Then I looked for mine and I found it. After that me and my friend Bullard left. I like making ice blocks because they are so yummy.

A-Z Countries art and food

Going To Tech.

Yesterday the year 7 & 8 had tech. We walked all the way down to tamaki college. When we got there we got split up in classes with some of the other students from the tamaki college teachers. Me and my class mates got to be in the same class. We got split up in robotics class. The teachers name for robotics was Mr Krishna. We learnt to program robots and those little robots were called mbots. We programmed them to do what we told them to do on this site. The site was just like scratch. After tech we had to walk all the way back up. I told my teacher that tech was so fun. I couldn't wait till next week.
